Parents Association Proposal
2010 is the inaugural season for the EBBA PA, but we have been a part of youth baseball in London since 1955. This season poses a unique challenge for the organization in that we will no longer be able to use McMahen park as our “home” diamonds. EBBA is currently working with the City of London to locate new home diamonds and bring them up to the standards enjoyed by other youth baseball clubs in the region.
Some of the proposed elements to our new home would include:
- Signature park with multiple diamonds including an EBBA field house for equipment storage, washrooms, concessions and an administration facility
- Field expansions with appropriate dimensions
- Field improvements may include: irrigation, pegged bases, fences, new backstops and dugouts
The City of
London has committed to work alongside EBBA on these projects, providing
support and cost sharing. With this in
mind, EBBA has set a goal
to raise $150,000 over the next five years for this purpose.
To meet this goal, EBBA is seeking volunteers to join a newly formed parent association to assist the club with various activities and objectives relating to the renewal program. To date, we have considered the following potential fund-raising approaches:
- Little Caesar Pizza Kit Program
- EBBA sponsored Bingos
- Corporate Sponsorship
- BBQ
- Garage Sales
- Bake Sales
- Silent Auctions
- 50/50 ticket and concession sales at the JLC
- London Majors tickets
- Car Wash
